If you're an LSC-UP staff or faculty member and want to participate in this year's Once Upon a Pumpkin no-carve contest -- and you don't want to buy your own pumpkin, which you can do, if you want -- be sure to sign up now to reserve a pumpkin! You can participate individually or as a team -- but teams still only get one pumpkin, so make sure you know which person is signing up.
Pumpkins will be ready for pick up from the library starting Friday, Sept. 27. If you don't pick up your pumpkin within one week, it may be given to anyone on the waitlist.
The decorated pumpkins will be due by the morning of Monday, Oct. 21, and voting will begin that same day.

What if I want to use a foam pumpkin? Can I use more than one pumpkin?
If you want to buy it, sure!
For fairness, however, the no-carve rule will still apply, even if your foam pumpkin can't rot.
I missed this sign-up period. Can I still participate?
Yes! Pumpkins that haven't been claimed in the first week become fair game for other interested participants. You can buy your own to decorate and enter, as well.
I got my pumpkin, but now I don't think I have time/energy to decorate. Do I need to return the pumpkin?
If possible, that would be nice if you did so we can pass it along to someone on the waitlist... but we're also not going to come for you if you don't.
Do I get to keep my decorated pumpkin?
Yes, once the voting period is over and winners are announced -- in fact, we encourage everyone to come pick up their pumpkins to take home at that point. :)
